SWIMMING
This remote swimming hole on the Gauley River is only reached by a beautiful, scenic 2-mile hike from the campground through the Monongahela National Forest.
There are many beautiful swimming holes on the Gauley and Williams Rivers that you can drive your car right up to; but if you want to go to the really remote, pristine swimming holes, bring a good pair of hiking boots and a GPS or Topographic map and ask Matt and Racquel how to get there. It will be a great experience for the whole family. Even if you have little ones, some of the swimming holes on the Gauley have big shallows with rock bottoms and no current.

FISHING
TROUT: Located within the boundary of the Monogahela National Forest, our campground offers great trout fishing with your own private trout stream right by your site (not open to the general public). As the stream meanders through the farm, brown, golden, brook, and rainbow trout swirl to the surface feeding on the daily hatch. All fishing on the farm is catch and release. If a campfire trout dinner is what you desire, just drive minutes from your site to any of the local trout streams and you can usually bring home your limit of 6 trout. We are only a few minutes drive from the following trout streams: Williams River, Gauley River, Elk River, Cranberry River, Back Fork of Elk River, and Cherry River.
Your own private trout stream located right on the farm!
CATFISH: Nothing beats setting around the campfire, listening the the night sounds and catching big catfish. If you want to catch some catfish for eating, the campground is located only a few miles from Big Ditch Lake Wildlife Management Area. A 57-acre lake full of big cats and an abundance of crappie.
